Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS FOR CHILDBIRTH?

Hypnosis for Childbirth is a personalized approach to preparing for labor and delivery. Through hypnosis, you can reduce worry, shift your perception of pain, and cultivate a sense of calm and control, allowing for a better birthing experience.

AT WHAT STAGE OF MY PREGNANCY SHOULd I START?

The ideal time to begin hypnosis is during the third trimester. This allows you time to practice and internalize the techniques before labor. However, if you're interested in starting earlier, we can begin sooner to support your journey.

HOW DOES HYPNOSIS HELP WITH PAIN MANAGEMENT?

Hypnosis alters your perception of pain by helping you shift your focus and enter a deep state of relaxation. Many expectant parents find that hypnosis allows them to manage discomfort more effectively and feel more in control during labor.

WILL I BE UNCONSCIOUS OR UNAWARE WHILE USING HYPNOSIS?

No, hypnosis is not the same as sleep or being unconscious. You will remain fully aware and in control throughout the experience. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation that helps you tune into your body and mind in a powerful way.

DO I NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH HYPNOSIS?

No prior experience is needed. Hypnosis is a skill that anyone can learn, and my sessions will guide you through the process step by step. Your personalized hypnosis recording will also allow you to practice and increase your comfort with the techniques.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Please get in touch and I’ll share information about the cost for the full package.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE INCLUDED?

The package consists of two sessions. The first is an interview to learn about your goals, concerns, and preferences. The second session is a guided hypnosis experience, which will be recorded for you to use leading up to your delivery.

Are sessions conducted virtually or in person?

Sessions are conducted virtually via video call, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home.

Can hypnosis be integrated into my birth plan?

Yes. Hypnosis can be used in any type of birth plan, whether you're planning a home birth, birthing center delivery, or hospital birth. It is also beneficial whether you choose to have a natural childbirth or use pain relief interventions such as an epidural.
